The MDM Product Manager is responsible for defining, prioritizing, managing, and delivering the product roadmap for the organization’s Master Data Management (MDM) platform. This role requires a deep understanding of business processes, data governance, and data quality to ensure the MDM solution aligns with strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Responsibilities include developing product vision and strategy, creating and maintaining a product roadmap, gathering requirements, driving agile development, defining master data, establishing data standards, stakeholder management, data analysis, defining performance metrics, leading change management, improving data quality, and ensuring data governance compliance.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a Master Data Management context.
  • 3+ years of experience with MDM tools and platforms.
  • Experience implementing and managing a large enterprise-wide MDM solution.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, including data quality, data governance, and data modeling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional, globally distributed stakeholders.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of data integration and ETL processes.
  • Certifications in Agile methodologies or data management.
  • Knowledge of the travel or hospitality industry

The MDM Product Manager is responsible for defining, prioritizing, managing, and delivering the product roadmap for the organization’s Master Data Management (MDM) platform. This role requires a deep understanding of business processes, data governance, and data quality to ensure the MDM solution aligns with strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

What You'll Do

  • Product Vision and Strategy: Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy for the MDM platform, aligning with overall business goals.
  • Product Roadmap: Create and maintain a prioritized product roadmap, balancing short-term and long-term objectives.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document business requirements related to master data.
  • Agile Methodology: Drive the agile development process by defining user stories, prioritizing backlog items, and participating in sprint planning and reviews.
  • Master Data Definition: Collaborate with data domain trustees to define and refine master data definitions, attributes, and relationships.
  • Data Standards: Work with data domain trustees to establish and maintain data standards and guidelines.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, IT teams, and data stewards.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze data to identify trends, opportunities, and potential issues.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of the MDM platform.
  • Change Management: Lead change management initiatives related to MDM implementation and adoption.
  • Data Quality Improvement: Collaborate with data domain trustees to identify data quality issues, prioritize remediation efforts, and implement data quality rules within the MDM platform.
  • Data Governance Compliance: Ensure the MDM platform aligns with data governance policies and standards by working closely with data domain trustees.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a Master Data Management context.
  • 3+ years of experience with MDM tools and platforms.
  • Strong track record of implementing and managing a large enterprise-wide MDM solution.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, including data quality, data governance, and data modeling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
