Job Description

This Master's thesis involves modeling electrical drive systems using AI methods and developing new control and learning procedures with machine learning and model-based approaches. The role includes designing adaptive control systems that account for unknown system behavior, implementing and validating these methods in MATLAB/Simulink, and optionally prototyping on a dSpace test bench. The work focuses on advanced control strategies for electric drives.

Job Description

  • During your thesis, you will model electrical drive systems using AI methods.
  • Furthermore, you will develop new control and learning methods for electric drives using machine learning and model-based procedures.
  • You will design an adaptive control considering the estimation of unknown system behavior.
  • In addition, you will implement and validate new methods in MATLAB or Simulink.
  • Finally, optional prototypical implementation on the test bench with the dSpace Rapid Prototyping system will take place.

Qualifications

  • Education: Studies in electrical engineering, technical cybernetics, or engineering sciences
  • Experience and Know-how: Proficient in system dynamics and control engineering, as well as confident handling of MATLAB or Simulink
  • Personality and Working Style: Reliable person who works structured and likes to take initiative
  • Languages: Good German and English

Start: By arrangement

Duration: 6 months
