You will be a change agent and drive out waste throughout the manufacturing operation through the deployment of the Lean methodology. You will be responsible for identification of continuous improvement initiatives.
You will:
- Lead and manage a manufacturing department(s). Set goals and establish metrics for the departments.
- Managing department with zero recordable injuries
- Manage productivity levels with the departments.
- Continuously improving productivity, flow, changeovers, etc. through the implementation of Lean principles
- Manage site PFEP including launch or change of raw, WIP, or finished goods.
- Develop leaders.
- Manage cost as a % of net sales. Manage within the forecasted budget.
- Manage Cycle Count Program to meet compliance requirements.
- Manage and continuously improve inventory control practices.
- Manage all offsite storage.
- Optimize employee engagement and training by providing value stream transformation support, guidance and continuous improvement and sustainability.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher. Engineering or Science degree is preferred.
- Five plus years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to lead and coordinate multi-functional team projects.
- Ability to develop leaders.
- Moderate to advanced PC skills (Office Suite, etc. proficiency in Excel a must)
- Able to communicate effectively in the English language.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus.
- Less Six Sigma Greenbelt a plus
- APICS CPIM a plus
