Aptiv Connection Systems, Chennai Engineering Center in Chennai, India established in 2001 catering complete product development solutions right from concept design till validation testing to global OEMs. Located in Chennai city, the southern part of India which is known as automotive hub of India. About this position Mechanical Test Engineer : The incumbent will be responsible for UTM and Environmental testing, also possessing experience in equipment maintenance, calibration on test equipment. Experience in handling IPX test chamber. Should possess validation accreditation systems of NABL & ISO. Electrical Test Engineer : The incumbent will be responsible for Electrical and Environmental Testing, also possessing experience in equipment maintenance, calibration on test equipment. Experience in handling electrical measuring instruments. Should possess validation accreditation systems of NABL & ISO. Job responsibilities Perform qualification and validation tests of connector systems in accordance with the common test specifications of the automotive industry Preparation of test setups, sample preparation Experience in DAQ applications Recording and control of measurement and test data studies on reliability, function and quality Make the test equipment plan according to the test specification/plan and communicate with related function the plan in order to meet the project boundaries e.g. timing Create test reports Align with the lab EHS/procedure requirement during testing Ensure the effective storage of test sample in lab Support related engineer to analyze the test failure if any to find the root cause Candidate must be able to multitask to support multiple projects, work well in groups as well as individual, focus on results and work well under pressure Perform the equipment maintenance and daily check records on time Basic qualifications

• Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical & Electronics Engineering

• With 2-3 years of  product test or validation engineering working experience

• Good knowledge of Measurement and Testing Technology.

• Good Reporting Skills.

• Proficiency in English Language.
