Breach is seeking a Mid-Level XR Developer to develop, program, and prototype for various XR platforms (headsets, handhelds, etc.). The role involves leading engineering discussions, participating in strategic planning, mentoring junior developers, and researching best practices. Responsibilities include developing games, apps, and XR experiences using Unity, Unreal Engine, WebXR, and other relevant technologies. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of professional experience and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Headquartered in the tech-capital and university city of Trondheim, Norway, Breach is at the forefront of developing innovative projects, games, and applications for both internal ventures and global clients. Our dynamic team of 40-some talented professionals from 9 different countries is eager to welcome new senior developers who are passionate about pushing the boundaries of XR technology.

We are seeking a Mid-Level XR Developer who thrives on innovation and complex challenges. The ideal candidate brings a diverse skill set, extensive industry experience and fresh perspectives to the table.

Responsibilities

Development, programming and prototyping for headsets, handhelds and other XR platforms.
Lead and engage in creative engineering and problem-solving discussions
Participate in high-level strategic planning and decision-making processes
Mentor and support other developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment
Research and build upon current developments and best practices

Qualifications

2-5 years of professional experience with developing games, apps and/or XR experiences
In-depth experience developing with several of the following: Unity, Unreal Engine, WebXR, Meta Quest, ARKit/RealityKit, Android, React, Typescript
Strong communication skills
Exceptional problem-solving abilities
Proven ability to to work with and mentor others in creative teams

Bonus points

Dev experience on successfully released games or applications
Strong familiarity with 3D/XR development and concepts
A sensibility for user experience and interaction design
System architecture know-how and experience
Experience with mobile games development
Live ops experience
Rapid prototyping skills
