Capture Lab is Framestore's motion capture facility and shooting space, providing high-end motion capture, likeness capture, facial animation and virtual cinematography to complement extensive animation and VFX work on a project.

About the role

The Motion Capture TD is responsible for the efficient planning, smooth running, and successful delivery of full performance capture sessions internally within Framestore and externally with our clients. The role reports directly to the Head of Capture and requires work in Framestore’s Studio and externally on-set.
What you’ll do:
Operate facial and motion capture shoots using our Vicon Mocap system
Work with the Head of Capture and Production to organise motion capture and HMC sessions with clients, to spec and successfully deliver capture solutions
Complete the post-solving and delivery of captured data
What we’re looking for:
Experience in motion capture for film and TV and/or games using Vicon Shogun and MotionBuilder
Experience with facial performance capture systems
A working knowledge of Maya
Strong organisational skills including knowledge of MS Office and Google Work apps
Experience working to schedules and running shoot days
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks to keep things moving
Ability to remain calm when under pressure
Desire to work across multi-disciplinary, technical, creative, and fast-paced environments
Able to work successfully as part of a team as well as independently
You might also have:
Driving Licence
Experience with other mocap systems - Inertial and rigid body trackers
Game engine development - Unreal and/or Unity
Python, HSL and/or command line scripting skills
Experience with photogrammetry
