Job Description

The Motion Design Lead, is responsible for leading and organising teams of designers, animators, artists, and technologists to deliver world class content that exceeds the expectations of the initial client brief. This role requires an unwavering eye to detail, and an ability to use the design process as a method of solving creative challenges. The lead demonstrates a deep knowledge of the design process, and is fluent in Cinema 4D and other industry standard tools. They work from the initial briefing call through to delivery, guiding artists and clients through the process. The role also involves leading and mentoring the current team. 

They work closely with the Head of Design and the Operations team to identify the strengths with our team and resource projects with the best fitting talent. Throughout all of this they’ll cultivate a thorough understanding of our proprietary pipeline, tools and hardware.

Qualifications

  • Someone who can inspire, with proven experience leading teams.
  • An ideas driven designer, who draws from a wide range of disciplines and inspirational sources.
  • Have a keen eye for detail and rigorous quality control.
  • Have an expert knowledge of Cinema 4D and are comfortable creating, designing and animating within 3D workflows. AE,CS suite and a Working knowledge of Houdini a plus.
  • Stays up to date with current design trends and technology.
  • Adept at creating styleframes and imagery for treatments, making relevant, effective suggestions to help steer the creative.
  • Have experience quoting a diverse range of Cinema 4D and After Effects based projects.
  • Highly organised and able to identify strengths/ weaknesses within team members, giving feedback and guidance.
  • Confidently drive conversations with clients across projects, constructively challenging briefs and feeding back on work from the team.
  • Calm and resourceful under pressure, with a knack for problem-solving on a deadline.
