Working under the guidance and collaboration of the Creative Services Team, the Motion Graphics Designer will create motion design and animation for promos, packaging, and other on-air/digital assets. The Motion Graphics Designer must be able to independently conceive, design and execute within multiple brands as well as work off creative briefs and/or style frames provided by others under tight deadlines. The ability to collaborate with a team of video editors, producers and other designers is essential, as is the ability to work without supervision. This is a contract-to-hire position and is fully onsite at our Arlington, TX Headquarters
Responsibilities
• Work as a trusted partner throughout the entire project lifecycle from ideation and production to final delivery.
• Present concepts visually with multiple options and personal perspective.
• Take an active role in interpreting the creative brief.
• Work independently to achieve objectives and design components of projects.
• Actively participate in brainstorm sessions and support creative teams as needed.
• Work effectively with Creative Directors, Senior Graphic Designer, Art Directors, Producers, and outside partners.
• Manage personal and project time frames and complete assigned tasks on budget and on schedule.
• Willingness to learn and operate On Air Graphics software, if needed.
• Assist Graphics Department in staying organized by exerting a strong attention to detail.
• Other projects and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years’ experience in a motion graphics role.
• Demo reel of current work required.
• Relevant experience in fast-paced environment, television post-production preferred.
• Expert Adobe Suite skills, particularly Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and After Effects.
• Knowledge of media tools including Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Media Encoder, and Black Magic Resolve are a plus, but not required.
• Proficient motion and graphic design skills including logo, typography, and graphic communication.
• Photo retouching experience.
• Ability to develop and articulate a design concept and demonstrate creative thinking with a clear design process.
• Understanding of motion vocabulary and motion design from concept development to storyboarding.
• Knowledge of motion techniques, animation, and ability to work with a team.
• Self-motivated, takes initiative, and is intuitive.
• Driven individual with an innovation attitude which strives to achieve more efficient processes as technology advances.
