Job Description

This role involves providing L2 production support for Murex/MLC/Risk users (Front office, Back-office, finance, etc.). Responsibilities include ensuring optimal service levels, collaborating with vendors and support teams, owning high-severity issues, providing strategic solutions, participating in RCA, assisting in application rollouts, and continuous learning. The candidate will work with intraday reports, SQL debugging, shell scripting, and Datamart purge analysis and optimization. The position requires strong knowledge of Murex, Datamart, EOD batches, SQL, Unix Shell scripting, and Linux. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively and work efficiently across different business and support units.
Must have:
  • 8+ years in L2 Production support
  • Murex, MLC, and Datamart knowledge
  • Murex application, Datamart module expertise
  • EOD batches, DataMart report issue handling
  • Cloud, SQL, Unix Shell scripting, Linux
  • Strong debugging and SQL coding skills
  • Shell script development and automation
  • Datamart purge analysis and report optimization
  • Murex functional module support
Good to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering/related field

Project description

Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble, and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability, and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

Responsibilities

To track and be responsible for providing optimum service levels for day-to-day production support for the Murex/MLC/Risk users (Front office, Back-office, finance, etc).

To collaborate with third-party vendors and other support teams to provide a seamless support model for the business.

Able to take ownership of high severity issues and follow through to closure.

Answerable to business users and provide strategic long term solutions and participate in RCA and provide pre-emptive solutions for production stability.

To assist in rolling out of new version of the application adhering to the best practices of the release management procedures.

To be able to drive himself/herself to learn new things while dealing with daily production support

To communicate effectively and work efficiently across different Business and support units

Skills

Must have

At least 8+ years in L2 Production support

Supporting Murex, MLC, and Datamart

Knowledge of Murex application, Datamart module, EOD batches from L2 perspective, DataMart report issues, Cloud, SQL, Unix Shell scripting, Linux

Strong knowledge of the Datamart module

Good understanding of Murex EOD

Able to handle intraday reports

Strong debugging knowledge of SQL

Able to write SQL code

Strong knowledge of shell script development

Have to work on automation/Datamart purge analysis

Able to optimize the current Datamart reports

Able to support the Murex functional module

Nice to have

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering/ School of Computing/ Finance IT/ other related IT degrees would be preferred.
