Dun & Bradstreet is seeking a .NET Software Engineer (Develop II) to manage and develop the company's local platform using various technical stacks, including Microsoft's C# .NET and MSSQL. The role involves handling data ingestion, mastering, matching, and dispatching of country-specific data. The engineer will work in cross-functional teams to develop features across the software stack, adhere to quality and process standards, and write maintainable, testable, and performant code. The position requires working within an Agile framework with 2-week sprints, participating in competency meetings, and focusing on compliance and data security. Responsibilities also include providing support to peers, taking on delivery responsibilities beyond development, and proactively refining tasks for the team backlog.
Must have:
  • Proficiency in T-SQL & MSSQL

  • 5+ years of commercial software development experience

The Develop II / .NET Developer is responsible for the application management and development of Dun & Bradstreet’s local platform in corresponding countr(ies), using a variety of technical stacks and delivered via multiple channels, e.g. Microsoft stack (C# .NET and MSSQL). This role handles the data ingestion, mastering, matching and dispatching of countr(ies) data.  

Responsibilities:

    • Management and development of core D&B software systems using a variety of technical stacks and delivered via multiple channels, e.g. Microsoft stack (C# .NET and MSSQL)
    • Handles data ingestion, mastering, matching and dispatching of Danish data.  
    • Working in cross-functional teams, develop features end-to-end across the software stack. 
    • Adherence to defined quality and other processes.
    • Write elegant, simple code that lends itself to low cost maintenance, extensibility, testability and performance.
    • Work Agile process with 2-week sprints, hold monthly competency meetings, and have a focus on compliance and data security.
    • Proactively refine tasks for the team backlog.
    • Provide support to peers with in the local and off-shore teams.
    • Take on delivery responsibilities outside of development as needed.

Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related area
    • Proficiency in T-SQL & MSSQL
    • Excellent C# .NET programming skills
    • Have worked (for at least 5years) and have an appreciation of the realities of commercial software development.
    • The ability to write well documented, maintainable and testable code.
    • Ideally have worked in a scrum/agile development team.
    • Able to work within a collaborative team environment containing local and remote team members.

Nice to have:

    • Practical experience of any of the following is a plus: (Data engineering, AWS/Cloud, Build/release tools, Unit test or continuous integration frameworks, Knowledge of Machine Learning techniques and technologies)
