Network Operation Center Operator (NOC)
Job Summary
Job Description
Proactively monitor online games and related systems for 24/7 service, analyzing and assessing system health and performance using various tools. Triage problems and provide critical information to on-call personnel clearly and concisely. Conduct triage, troubleshooting, and bug fixing meetings for game development personnel. Consult, create, and maintain process documentation. Execute quick patch and build deployments with post-deployment smoke testing. Prepare accurate and timely reports with updates and summaries on events and issues.
Must have:
- Technical support skills for game servers and client crashes
- Knowledge of network technologies and GNU/Linux OS
- Ability to follow processes and temporary measures
- Availability for shifts, including nights and weekends
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strict punctuality and quick response
- Familiarity with IT infrastructure
Good to have:
- Monitoring/Analyst experience
- Technical support in 24/7 service
- Games industry experience
- Familiarity with game development terminology

Requirements
- Technical support skills with focus on game servers and client crashes
- Knowledge of network technologies and GNU/Linux OS
- Ability to perform tasks by both established processes as well as placeholder and temporarily agreed measures
- Availability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Maintaining strict punctuality and quick response
- Familiarity with common IT infrastructure and its practices
Would be a plus:
- Monitoring/Analyst experience (assessments based on data, graphs etc.)
- Technical support experience in an online 24/7 service industry
- Experience working in games industry, particularly multiplayer and MMO games
- Some familiarity with terminology and process for game development, QA and release management
