KBZK in Bozeman, Montana is seeking enthusiastic News Interns for an 8-week, onsite summer internship. Interns will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced newsroom, assisting with daily operations and special projects. Responsibilities include performing news-related duties, developing skills in journalism and content creation, and assisting the news team. The role requires a strong desire to learn about broadcast journalism, the ability to work collaboratively, and a curiosity for local news. Successful candidates will possess reliable transportation to the Helena studio.

Are you ready to kickstart your career in broadcast journalism? KBZK in beautiful Bozeman, Montana is looking for enthusiastic News Interns to join our team this summer! This 8-week, onsite opportunity will give you hands-on experience in a fast-paced newsroom environment while learning from seasoned professionals in the broadcast industry.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Gain valuable exposure to the broadcast news industry
  • Perform various news-related duties throughout the newsroom
  • Develop essential skills in journalism, content creation, and media production
  • Assist our news team with daily operations and special projects
  • Complete other duties as assigned by news management

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be available for the full 8-week internship period
  • Part-time hourly position

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Strong desire to learn about broadcast journalism and the television news industry
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent ability to follow directions and accept constructive feedback
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for local news and community stories
  • Reliable transportation to our Helena studio
  • Standard newsroom environment
