Next-Generation Game Background Artist

Smilegate Entertainment is seeking an experienced Background Artist to join their team in developing a next-generation game using Unreal Engine 5. Responsibilities include creating high-quality background artwork, maintaining artistic consistency, and collaborating with other artists to achieve a visually stunning and efficient production pipeline. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in background concept art for realistic FPS games and a strong understanding of creating compelling and believable environments. Proficiency in Photoshop and experience with Unreal Engine (especially Unreal Engine 5) are highly desirable. The role involves designing background concepts aligned with art direction, creating props and environment concepts, and ensuring efficient asset creation for production. A strong portfolio showcasing relevant skills is required.
