Next-Generation Game Background Modeler

Smilegate Entertainment is seeking an experienced Background Modeler to join their team in developing a next-generation game using Unreal Engine 5. The role involves creating realistic, high-quality 3D models of environments, objects, and buildings, including texturing. Responsibilities include background design and implementation within the game engine. Candidates must have at least 5 years of experience in background modeling, proficiency in Unreal Engine 4+, and expertise with PBR texturing and major 3D modeling tools (Blender, Maya, 3ds Max, Substance Painter, ZBrush). Experience with lighting, optimization, and performance tuning is crucial. Realism and a focus on creating visually stunning assets are essential for this position. The role requires experience in creating assets for a commercially released game and familiarity with tools like World Creator or World Machine is a plus. The position is based in Seongnam, South Korea.
