Zuru Tech is seeking a Node.js Developer to join their multinational team, which is digitalizing the construction process worldwide. The role involves working on the Zuru Home app, a BIM software for public, architects, and engineers. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining low-latency, high-availability server-side applications using Node.js, integrating databases like MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The developer will also write unit and integration tests, ensure modern security standards, and provide technical support. The position requires adherence to launch deadlines and strong problem-solving skills.
Must have:
- 3+ years of experience as a Node.js developer
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript
- Working knowledge of Node.js and web frameworks (e.g., Express)
- Familiarity with ECMAScript specifications
- Working knowledge of REST APIs and WebSockets
- Experience with MongoDB and a relational database (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Experience implementing test cases (e.g., mocha, jest)
- Proficient understanding of Git
- Understanding accessibility and security compliance
- Good team player and communication skills
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills
Good to have:
- GraphQL experience
- Basic understanding of cloud technologies
- Basic understanding of micro-service architecture
- Basic understanding of CI/CD
- Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, ReactJS)
- Experience with OOP languages (Golang, Java, ASP)
- Understanding fundamental design principles for scalable applications

What are you Going to do?
๐ Work as part of a team developing applications and services using agile development methods.
๐ Architect, develop and maintain low-latency, high-availability, and performant server-side applications.
๐ Developing Node.js applications by writing clean, efficient, testable, and reusable code.
๐ Integration of data storage solutions including MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
๐ Collaborate with product, design, and frontend teams to understand requirements, create and review technical designs and plans, validate the architecture, and ensure the best service offerings.
๐ Write adequate unit, integration, and performance test suites to ensure the working of all functionality.
๐ Participate in project estimation, provide inputs for solution delivery, conduct technical risk planning, and perform code reviews and test plan reviews.
๐ Ensure modern security standards and protocols, and data protection measures are implemented.
๐ Running diagnostic tests, repairing defects, and providing technical support.
๐ Respond to production incidents when they occur and take any necessary steps to restore service and return the business to normal operations as quickly as possible.
๐ Mentor/guide freshers/juniors if required.
What are we Looking for?
โ 3+ years of experience as a Node.js developer.
โ Strong proficiency with JavaScript and working knowledge of Node.js and at least one web framework available for it such as Express, Koa, Meteor, etc.
โ Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScript and understanding of the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.
โ Working knowledge of REST APIs, and WebSockets (GraphQL is a plus).
โ Experience with MongoDB and one relational database such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
โ Implementing test cases using any frameworks such as mocha, jest, etc.
โ Proficient understanding of code versioning tools - git and git workflows.
โ Understanding accessibility and security compliance.
โ Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.
โ A basic understanding of cloud technologies, micro-service architecture, and CI-CD is a plus.
โ A basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, CSS3, and ReactJS is a plus.
โ Experience with any OOP language such as Golang, Java, or ASP is a plus.
โ Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
โ Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
โ Good team player and good communication skills.
โ Must be able to adhere to launch deadlines.
โ User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
โ Strong analytical problem-solving skills; adaptable, enterprising, and willing to take ownership.
