Cineplex Entertainment is seeking an Office Teller for The Rec Room at West Edmonton Mall. This role provides administrative and cash handling support to management and operations. Key responsibilities include daily cash reconciliation, bank deposit preparation, investigating cash variances, maintaining cash handling records, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, assisting with audits, and handling guest inquiries. The position requires a commitment to teamwork, attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work under pressure. Strong Microsoft Office skills and excellent communication are essential.

What you will do:

The Rec Room - West Edmonton Mall (Cineplex Entertainment, headquartered in Toronto, Ontario) is currently recruiting for the position of Office Teller, reporting to the Assistant General Manager. This position will be based at 2065, 8882 - 170th St., NW, Edmonton, AB.   

Your role is to provide administrative and cash handling support to the management team and the operations of the Rec Room team as a whole. This role will allow you to observe and contribute to the full cycle of venue operations in an administrative capacity.

Job Duties:

  • Daily cash reconciliation and balancing.
  • Preparation of bank deposits and related documentation.
  • Investigation and resolution of cash variances.
  • Maintenance of accurate cash handling records and reports.
  • Compliance with all relevant financial regulations and internal controls.
  • Assisting with internal audit procedures.
  • POS procedures
  • Effectively handle and relay all guest inquiries, questions, and concerns to the Supervisors.
  • Conducts regular cash audits on various tills throughout the venue;
  • Opening and closing the cash office as needed;
  • Any additional relevant responsibilities the venue requires, as assigned;

Qualifications:

  • Experience in cash management, treasury operations, or a related financial role an asset.
  • Some experience with customer service preferred.
  • Commitment to a team approach.
  • High attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Has a general sense of urgency and initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized.
  • Strong Microsoft office skills required.
     

Working Conditions:

  • Extended hours as required.
  • Extended time sitting while using a computer.
