Job Description

The One Stream Reporting and Controls Analyst will collaborate with finance, IT, and compliance teams to produce accurate and reliable financial reports, while also improving the IT control framework for financial reporting. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining financial reports, ensuring data accuracy, supporting SOX compliance, assisting in IT audits, improving reporting processes, providing user support and training, and creating documentation. This role reports to the Senior Finance Systems Manager of OneStream.
Must have:
  • 3 + years of experience with reporting tools like OneStream.
  • Basic understanding of SOX compliance and IT audit controls.
  • Experience with financial report writing and data analysis.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.

Who will you be working with?    

We are seeking a One Stream Reporting and Controls Analyst to join our team. You will collaborate with the finance, IT, and compliance teams to deliver accurate and reliable financial reports while also contributing to efforts that maintain and improve our IT control framework for financial reporting. This position is ideal for someone interested in combining technical skills with financial reporting and compliance work.

How will you make a difference?

As a member of the IT Finance Systems Team, you will be responsible for:

  • Report Development: Assist in the creation, customization, and maintenance of financial reports, including retrieving, grids, queries, and other dashboard reporting functions. Ensure that reports are accurate and meet business requirements for various financial periods (monthly, quarterly, annually).
  • Financial Data Accuracy: Verify and validate financial data across OneStream reports, ensuring data integrity and resolving discrepancies by working with end-users and technical teams.
  • SOX Compliance Support: Contribute to the documentation and maintenance of IT SOX controls related to OneStream and financial reporting processes. Help ensure compliance with internal controls, segregation of duties, and security standards throughout the system.
  • Audit Support: Assist in IT audits by preparing required documentation, conducting control testing, and helping auditors with their review of financial reporting systems and controls.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with finance and IT teams to identify and implement improvements to the reporting processes. Support the continuous enhancement of financial systems to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • User Support and Training: Provide support for end users by troubleshooting report-related issues and offering guidance on report usage. Assist with training sessions to ensure users are proficient with OneStream’s reporting capabilities.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for OneStream reports, IT controls, audit activities, and financial reporting processes.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, identify process improvements, and ensure reporting capabilities align with business needs and compliance requirements.

In this role, you will be reporting to the Senior Finance Systems Manager of OneStream and be responsible for developing and maintaining financial reports and ensuring compliance with IT audit controls, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley). This is an exciting opportunity to work with financial systems and play a key role in supporting the ongoing optimization of financial reporting processes while ensuring adherence to IT governance standards.

What do we want to know about you?

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in information systems, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3 + years of experience working with reporting tools such as OneStream, Power BI or similar financial systems reporting tools in a reporting or compliance role.
  • Basic understanding of SOX compliance and IT audit controls.
  • Experience with financial report writing and data analysis tools such as Microsoft Power BI or similar reporting software.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.

In this role, your day will be dynamic and engaging, involving a mix of technical and collaborative tasks. You will start by developing and customizing financial reports to meet business requirements for various financial periods. Throughout the day, you'll verify and validate financial data, ensuring accuracy and resolving any discrepancies by working closely with end-users and technical teams. You will also contribute to maintaining IT SOX controls and supporting IT audits by preparing documentation and conducting control testing. Additionally, you'll collaborate with finance and IT teams to identify and implement process improvements, provide user support and training, and create comprehensive documentation for financial reporting processes.
