Romero Games is looking for an Online Programmer to join our growing team on a full-time basis. You will design, implement and integrate online features into the game for an unannounced high-profile live service PC and console title. As part of a thriving independent development studio, you will have a significant impact and contribute on multiple levels to the games we make.
This position is open to remote work for the right candidate, and relocation to our office in Galway, Ireland is also possible.
Integrate online features into game client
Design and implement online features to support the running of a major live service game
Support the game team using these features
Plan and estimate schedules for the work required to implement services in a timely manner
Report to the Online Architect
Experience working in C++ and Unreal
2+ years professional experience in the games industry, or equivalent experience
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience integrating first party platform SDKs
Experience with a live service game back-end platform such as PlayFab
Experience developing and running live services
Proficient programming in languages used in backend services such as ASP.NET
Experience with technologies such as Azure cloud platform, Docker
Experience developing services that communicate with Unreal Engine clients and servers
Shipped a title on PC or console
