Job Description

This role seeks an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join the IT team. The Oracle DBA will be responsible for database performance, integrity, and security, along with the planning and development of database automation, monitoring, patches, updates, and daily/weekly tasks. The responsibilities include installing, configuring, and upgrading Oracle databases, monitoring and optimizing database performance, performing backup and recovery operations, ensuring database security, setting up and maintaining various Oracle environments, performing capacity planning, performance tuning, troubleshooting, patching, and upgrading Oracle software, automating routine tasks, and collaborating with development and infrastructure teams. The role also includes collaborating with development and infrastructure teams to support application deployment. They will also be involved in the planning and development of the database automate monitoring, patches and updates, and other daily/weekly run tasks.
Must have:
  • Proficiency with Oracle versions 19c EE
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL
  • Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and OEM
  • Proficient with backup/recovery methods using RMAN
  • Understanding of Oracle licensing, partitioning, and tuning
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure)
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (Shell, Python)
  • Experience with Oracle Exadata or GoldenGate
  • Experience with automation tools like Ansible or Terraform
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA in a production environment
  • Oracle Certified Professional (OCP)
  • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) certifications

Requirements and responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to join our IT team. The Oracle DBA will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of Oracle databases. They will also be involved in the planning and development of the database automate monitoring, patches and updates, and other daily/weekly run tasks.
What you’ll do
  • Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases and related tools.
  • Monitor and optimize database performance using tools like AWR, ADDM, and SQL Trace.
  • Perform backup and recovery operations using RMAN or Data Pump.
  • Ensure database security by managing users, roles, and permissions.
  • Set up and maintain Oracle Data Guard, RAC, and ASM environments.
  • Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and system troubleshooting.
  • Patch and upgrade Oracle software to maintain compliance and security.
  • Automate routine tasks using shell scripts or PL/SQL procedures.
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to support application deployment.

What you’ll bring
