Job Description

As the Enterprise Finance Services Sub Group Owner, you will report to the Executive and use a product engineering approach to improve the software environment for Finance, Tax, and Treasury functions. This includes overseeing financial management, compliance reporting, and audit requirements. You will define the vision, drive priorities, and manage roadmaps for the Enterprise Finance Services portfolio. Key duties involve establishing group objectives, leading commercial impact assessments, fostering stakeholder engagement, managing partner relationships, collaborating with Chapter Leads, and enhancing group capabilities. This role requires a CPA certification or equivalent, a relevant degree, and experience in software engineering, product management, and leadership.

Job Description

In this pivotal role, reporting directly to the Executive, you will apply a product engineering mindset to enhance our software environment for Finance, Tax, and Treasury functions. This includes managing financial management, compliance reporting, and audit requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and communicate the vision and strategic direction for the Enterprise Finance Services portfolio.

  • Drive priorities and ensure roadmap alignment across teams.

  • Ensure coordination and alignment within the team.

  • Take responsibility for all technology decisions.

  • Engage stakeholders across Strategy & Finance and various Business Units.

Key Duties:

  • Establish the group’s purpose and objectives in alignment with Telstra’s overall strategy.

  • Lead commercial impact assessments.

  • Foster engagement with customers and internal stakeholders.

  • Manage strategic partner and vendor relationships to align roadmaps.

  • Collaborate with Chapter Leads to manage resources effectively.

  • Enhance group capabilities to achieve strategic outcomes.

What you will bring:

  • CPA or equivalent certification, with deep understanding of core finance functions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Extensive experience in software engineering and product management.

  • Proven leadership abilities in a technology-driven environment.

  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

  • Ability to drive strategic direction and manage complex projects.
