Panel Design Engineer

This position focuses on the panel design, layout, simulation, characterization, and failure analysis of display backplanes. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams, including panel design, process, device, and optical engineers. The successful candidate will manage display suppliers to meet Apple's requirements, conduct panel design and layout studies using SPICE and TCAD modeling to evaluate electrical and optical performance. They will assess trade-offs of panel architectures, pixels, and on-panel driver design, and interface technologies. Furthermore, they will coordinate display design, bring-up, and characterization activities, establishing process/performance correlations and trade-offs, and communicate results to a broader audience within Apple and with display suppliers.
