Job Description

This fixed-term contract Paralegal position at Google's Tel Aviv office requires fluency in English and Hebrew. Responsibilities include responding to legal requests from users and third parties, assisting with court actions and analysis, contributing to various projects (localization, marketing assessments, agreement review), conducting legal research (privacy, copyright, etc.), and maintaining internal knowledge databases. The role offers insight into diverse legal challenges facing Google and the opportunity to contribute to the evolution of internet law in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will support the Legal team, working independently and collaboratively, handling multiple projects simultaneously.
Good To Have:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or graduated from a Bachelor's degree in Law from an Israeli academic institute.
  • Ability to communicate in English and Hebrew fluently to support client relationship management in this region.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in intellectual property, data protection, copyright, new technologies, or media law.
  • Experience in a law firm or media/technology company.
  • Experience building relationships and communicating with people at all levels.
  • Experience working on numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in technology, IT-relevant legal problems, and recent developments.
  • Ability to start the month of January-February 2025 for a 12 months fixed-term contract.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to various legal requests from users and third-parties in relation to Google services and resolve internal escalations.
  • Assist the Legal team in the preparation and the management of court actions and in subsequent analysis.
  • Assist in a variety of projects, such as the localization of Google products, marketing assessments, and the review and drafting of agreements.
  • Conduct research on a variety of legal topics including privacy, copyright, consumer regulations, media regulations, advertising, etc.
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of internal knowledge databases for the Legal team.
