Position Overview
We are seeking a part-time Technical Writer with a medical background to join our team. This role is ideal for a current MD student with strong writing skills and an interest in genetics, bioinformatics, or clinical diagnostics. You’ll help translate complex scientific and clinical content into clear, user-friendly documentation that supports our users — clinical geneticists, lab professionals, and researchers.
Responsibilities
- Write and maintain high-quality internal and external documentation for clinical features, product workflows, and knowledge base content.
- Translate scientific and technical information into clear language for various audiences.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, clinicians, engineers, and designers to gather content and understand new features.
- Contribute to the creation of training, educational, and support materials for diverse healthcare audiences.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a medical degree (MD) program (clinical years preferred).
- Native level English- excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Familiarity with genetics, genomics, or molecular biology; coursework or practical experience in these areas is a plus.
- Interest in digital health, clinical software, or AI in medicine.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage time independently.
Nice to Have
- Experience writing scientific or clinical content (e.g., papers, reports, blog posts, case summaries).
- Exposure to variant interpretation, ACMG guidelines, or clinical genetics workflows.
- Technical affinity — experience using digital tools, EMRs, or bioinformatics platforms.
