The gUP Gemini and Assistant Partner Engineering team builds scalable solutions for first-party/third-party partners to create a Gemini and Assistant experience. Responsibilities include driving new technical partner integrations, improving partner/user experience, contributing to Gemini's evolution through LLM-based solutions, influencing product strategy, advocating for seamless user experience, and staying updated on industry trends. The role involves working with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering, data preparation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to launch partner-facing features.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering/CS or equivalent
  • 3+ years Python & C++ experience
  • Web technologies & troubleshooting experience
  • Machine learning experience (RAG, fine-tuning, prompt engineering)
  • Drive new partner integrations within Gemini
Good to have:
  • Master's degree in relevant field
  • 3+ years machine learning solution building
  • 3+ years investigative experience
  • 3+ years Linux/Unix systems experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience with Python and C++, and experience in web technologies and technical troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Machine Learning (Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), fine tuning, prompt engineering, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience using machine learning and building solutions.
  • 3 years of experience in an investigative role such as business intelligence, problem-solving or statistics.
  • 3 years of experience working with systems (e.g., Linux, Unix).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$174,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive new technical partner integrations within Gemini, ensuring a frictionless partner experience, improve existing partner/user experience and grow user value.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Gemini through Large Language Model (LLM) based solutions/processes (e.g., tools/collaborations) for partner schema ingestion, data preparation and quality iterations (prompt engineering, running evals, loss bucket analysis, supervised fine-tuning (SFT) data points).
  • Influence product strategy and work with cross-functional teams to bring partner-facing features to market.
  • Advocate seamless partner and user experience and advocate for user and partner success with engineering and product teams.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and latest machine learning research, tools and techniques.
