Job Description

The Partner Engineer at YouTube's Device Platform Operations leads deployments, optimizes implementations, and handles integrations to build successful device partnerships. This role involves technical engagements, finding innovative solutions, and leading projects collaborating with Product, Engineering, Business Development, Operations, and Marketing teams. Responsibilities include improving existing operations, defining and commercializing new solutions, automating partner operations, and managing projects from conception to deployment. The ideal candidate balances business and partner needs with technical constraints, develops cutting-edge solutions, and acts as a partner and consultant. They will build tools, automate products, oversee technical execution and business operations, and develop product strategy and prioritize projects.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in CS or related field
4+ years software program management experience
C/C++, Java, or Go programming skills
Unix/Linux, Shell/Perl/Python scripting
Web technologies troubleshooting expertise
Lead implementations and resolve technical issues
Provide partner feedback to improve product offerings

Good to have:

8+ years experience in software program/project management
Experience with embedded devices, Consumer Electronics manufacturers, SoC providers, and Pay TV Operators
Familiarity with RDK, Android TV, or similar TV platform architecture

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
4 years of experience in software program management.
Experience with C/C++, Java or Go programming languages, Unix/Linux systems, and scripting in Shell, Perl, or Python.
Experience troubleshooting using various web technologies.

Preferred qualifications:

8 years of experience in software focused program/project management and in the business technology market and working with engineering, sales and marketing teams in networking.
Experience working with embedded devices, Consumer Electronics manufacturers, SoC providers, and Pay TV Operators.
Experience driving cross-functional initiatives in a structured and ambiguous environment.
Familiarity with Reference Design Kit (RDK), Android TV or similar TV platform architecture.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills and outstanding organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills. Ability to speak to business and technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead implementation reviews, advocate new product features, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical issues.
Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including Product Management and Engineering.
Ensure the technical aspects of a partner’s integration (both new and ongoing) by providing necessary documentation and technical guidance.
Identify, drive, and optimize the business flow from new existing and new business opportunities by leveraging YouTube technologies.
Work closely with our System on a Chip (SoC) partners in the region to accelerate and improve YouTube integrations on new chipsets.
