Job Description

As a Payment Ops Analyst at Aspire, you will be the payment expert for customers and internal teams. Your responsibilities will include ensuring smooth operations, resolving payment escalations, and identifying and addressing process gaps. The role focuses on Ledger Operations, managing ledger entries and adjustments for Aspire products. You will operate back-end functions, manage external partners and clients, collaborate internally, and build efficient processes. The role requires a strong understanding of payments, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will contribute to streamlining payment processes and delivering excellent customer service.
Must have:
  • 1-2 years of experience in the payments space.
  • Basic understanding of Virtual Accounts and payments.
  • Strong analytical abilities and data analysis skills.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.

About the team

About the role:

As the Payment Ops Analyst, you will be the payment expert to customers & internal Aspire teams where you will ensure smooth operations, resolve payment escalations, identify and fill process gaps. The role's primary focus area is with Ledger Operations which manage ledger entries and adjustment to all transactions of Aspire products.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Daily Operations - Operate back-end functions on our tech platform such as manual processing of transactions/requests, activating features, crediting funds to client accounts, initiating transfers and return of funds and more.
  • External Partner Management - Liaise with our business/service partners to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • External Client Management - Interact with our customers and CS teams to solve their issues/concerns, advise solutions in-line with our product capabilities and internal SOP.
  • Internal Cross Functional Collaboration - Collaborate with various internal operational departments/teams to troubleshoot issues and derive solutions.
  • Build Processes and Frameworks - Co-build/design existing or new processes to achieve the better operational efficiency and reducing errors.

Qualifications:

  • Payments experience: 1-2 years of experience working in the payments space; experience related to Singapore, Indonesia and Hong Kong markets would be a plus.
  • Product knowledge: Basic level understanding of Virtual Accounts, domestic and swift payments.
  • Problem-solver: Motivated to make improvements with impact
  • Operational focus: A background in scaling processes in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.
  • Strong analytical abilities: Good data analytical skills with data sets and making inferences and conclusions.
  • Collaboration: Good communication and coordination skills and the ability to lead credit-related projects while collaborating with different stakeholders
  • Adaptability: Ability to support any new processes and adapting processes to fit with changes in regulations and infrastructure.
  • Customer-driven: Always putting customers first to provide the best quality service.
  • Outstanding communicator: Ability to communicate concisely and clearly to customers and internal stakeholders.
