Payroll & Accounts Assistant (Part-Time)

Responsibilities :

• Provide payroll services through the preparation and processing of bi-weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees
• RSP and Health Plan remittances
• Review payroll transactions entered into the system (QuickBooks) including new hires, terminations, and preparation of ROEs
• Ensure scheduling system has accurately captured hourly employee's times
• Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and reporting requirements
• Prepare T4s & T4As for year-end balancing
• Administer and balance remittances to various agencies and vendors
• Administer filing of documents and returns as per various timelines
• Prepare payroll journals-with cost centre allocations- and reports
  
• Preparation of HST returns for submission
• Monthly Consolidated Financial Reporting
• Monthly Cashflow Forecasting
  
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as required

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Payroll experience
• Additional 1+ year experience with Accounting duties such as Accounts Payables/Receivables/Billings etc.
• Expertise with QuickBooks is an asset
• High proficiency with spreadsheets and management reports
• Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian Payroll
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced skill with Excel
• Self-motivated and enjoys working in a fast-paced, team environment
