As a Penetration Tester at Redhorse Corporation, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and resilience of our systems and those of our government clients. You will be responsible for identifying vulnerabilities, developing mitigation strategies, and enhancing our overall security posture. You will conduct penetration testing, analyze network architectures, develop risk mitigation plans, and communicate vulnerability findings to senior executives. Your work will directly impact the security of sensitive information and contribute to Redhorse's commitment to delivering secure and reliable solutions. Must have:
  • 5-7 years of cybersecurity or IT experience.
  • Experience in cyber penetration testing.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity for Linux and Windows.
  • Experience performing network security analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
  • TS/SCI with Poly required to start.
Good to have:
  • Experience with cloud security testing.
  • Experience designing, testing complex Windows installations.
  • Experience participating in security groups.
  • Experience developing security policies.
  • Experience performing technical tasks with minimal direction.
  • Relevant industry certifications (OSCP, CEH, GPEN).

Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct penetration testing of various systems, including enterprise systems and hypervisors.
    • Apply computer attack methods and system exploitation techniques to identify vulnerabilities.
    • Analyze network architectures and perform network security analysis.
    • Analyze test results to develop risk and threat mitigation plans.
    • Develop risk management methodologies and communicate vulnerability findings and risk posture to senior executives.
    • Design, test, or implement IT security architecture components (where relevant).
    • Utilize network management tools and leverage adversarial tactics in security testing.
    • Participate in post-engagement analysis with the client (as needed).

Required Experience/Clearance:

    • 5-7 years of demonstrated experience in cybersecurity or a related IT field.
    • Demonstrated experience in cyber penetration testing.
    • Demonstrated working knowledge of cybersecurity principles for Linux and Windows platforms, and virtual environments.
    • Demonstrated experience performing network security analysis.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
    • TS/SCI with Poly required to start

Desired Experience:

    • Experience with cloud security testing.
    • Experience designing, testing, or implementing complex Windows installations.
    • Experience participating in public or private information security groups and organizations.
    • Experience researching, evaluating, and developing security policies and guidance.
    • Experience performing complex technical tasks with minimal direction.
    • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., OSCP, CEH, GPEN).
