Our team at Stoic, 4-time BAFTA nominated independent video game company, is seeking a Perfoce Engineer for our latest project, Towerborne!

What you'll do

As a Perforce Engineer focused on Perforce Helix Core, you will work with an existing service team focused on maintaining workflows centered around CI/CD and version control. You will create systems, automation, and processes to support a cross-functional team of Software Engineers, Designers, Artists, Producers, Release Managers, and LiveOps team. The technology stack of the game ranges from Unreal Engine 5, through Perforce Helix Core and Swarm, TeamCity, to PlayFab and Azure cloud computing on the backend.

On a daily basis you will monitor and improve our cluster of Helix Core Servers hosted on cloud virtual machines, aid with general team questions and support needs with the P4V and UnrealGameSync clients, as well as engineers working with P4 and Powershell based tools at the command prompt and integrations within C# based tools. On a long term basis, you will analyze, recommend, and implement improvements in the overall efficiency, ease of use, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of these systems.

Responsibilities

SCM: Maintain, administer, and support Perforce (Helix) servers
CI/CD: Manage and improve sync performance of automated TeamCity pipelines
Release Management: Support and improve branching strategies and promotion processes
Cloud: Monitor, provision, upgrade, scale, and cost manage Azure Cloud Services.
Metrics: Collect, analyze, and utilize telemetry data about the systems in your purview
Best Practices: understand, champion, and communicate best practices with the team at large

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree, or 4+ yrs experience relevant to the responsibilities, and/or combination of the two.
Deep understanding of Cloud services
Deep understanding of source control
Perforce Helix Core use and administration
Extensive skills in Windows and Linux environments
Mastery of scripting in several languages

United States Pay Range

$120,000 - $145,000 USD

This range is determined by several factors, including training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, and market demands. It is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

The final job level and compensation will be determined by the candidate’s work experience, years of relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, geographic location, and other business considerations.
