The role involves working with Linux (Windows is a plus), time-series databases (InfluxDB), Python, and data analysis libraries. The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days per week onsite in San Jose and the remainder remote.

Samsung is looking for a performance engineer to develop automation and analysis tools that will be run in our lab, in the cloud and in a colocation facility. The configurations will vary but will be focused on analyzing the performance and data characteristics of distributed storage systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop automation that ties into existing frameworks.
  • Develop database solutions for storing and comparing performance results.
  • Develop performance visualizations using creative dashboard techniques.
  • Maintain and support current application deployments.

Required Skills:

  • Strong working experience with Linux. Windows a plus.
  • Deep knowledge of time-series databases, with a specific focus on InfluxDB.
  • Extensive working experience in Python with data analysis libraries to manipulate and organize data effectively.
  • Experience in designing and building dashboards using Grafana.
  • Minimum: 7+ experience in relevant role with performance testing and Python.

Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Jose headquarters 3 days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time

The pay range below is for all roles at this level across all US locations and functions. Individual pay rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location, as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education, and training.

Base Pay Range

$90 - $120 USD
