Job Description

As a Performance Engineer Intern at NVIDIA, you'll contribute to the testing and optimization of desktop gaming performance on Linux and Windows platforms. Responsibilities include data analysis, report generation, collaboration with engineers to improve product performance, performance analysis across various computing components, development and maintenance of automation tools, and testing gaming applications on diverse systems. The internship involves working with pre-production hardware and software, offering exposure to cutting-edge technologies in the gaming industry.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar
  • Linux OS knowledge & PC building experience
  • Game automation using Python
  • Data analysis and reporting skills
Good to have:
  • Strong PC gaming knowledge

You would join the team responsible for the maintenance, development, and execution of Desktop Gaming Performance testing in Linux and Windows environments for the world's fastest, power efficient GPUs. This job involves various challenges such as working on pre-production hardware, Gaming software and other emerging technologies. decisions.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Analyze the data to draft reports and charts to visualize the results

  • Work with product development engineers to tune our products for maximum performance and help define the next generation GPUs

  • Study and analyze the performance on various computing platforms including graphics, CPU, memory, storage, networking, etc.

  • Develop, implement and maintain automation tools to improve testing efficiency

  • Test standard and custom Gaming applications on a wide variety of systems including desktop, ProVis, and virtualized platforms

What we need to see:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar

  • Working knowledge of Linux operating systems and PC building

  • Experience in game automation using Python and programming

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Strong knowledge and interest in PC games

  • Knowledge of Deep Learning and neural network

  • Interest in AI gaming

The hourly rate for our interns is 18 USD - 71 USD. Our internship hourly rates are a standard pay determined based on the position and your location, year in school, degree, and experience.
