As Performance Marketing Lead, you will spearhead the strategy and execution of paid digital media campaigns to drive user acquisition, engagement, and lead generation for Drive’s Marketplace services. You will develop structured experimentation roadmaps and provide data-backed strategic insights to optimize marketing investments and stay ahead of performance marketing trends. Responsibilities include optimizing full-funnel performance marketing across Google, Meta, Bing, and Nine networks, owning key performance KPIs, collaborating with agencies and internal teams, managing budget forecasting, building reporting dashboards, managing conversion tracking, and driving asset optimization through creative testing.
Must have:
  • 3-5+ years in performance marketing
  • Manage paid acquisition campaigns on Meta and Google
  • Mastery of GA4, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager
  • Understanding of performance marketing methodologies
  • Knowledge of SEM, paid social, programmatic, app store advertising
  • Strong commercial acumen and budget management
Good to have:
  • Experience with Bing, Looker Studio, Google Tag Manager, Excel
  • Experience with affiliate ecosystems

Job Description

As Performance Marketing Lead, you'll lead the hands-on strategy development and execution of paid digital media campaigns that drive user acquisition, engagement, and lead generation to deliver ongoing success for our Marketplace services, helping everyday consumers buy or sell their next car.

This pivotal role also shapes Drive’s broader growth, as you'll develop structured experimentation roadmaps and provide data-backed strategic insights to optimise marketing investments and stay on top of the latest trends and innovations in performance marketing.

Day to day you will:

  • Develop and optimse full-funnel performance marketing strategies across Google, Meta, Bing, and Nine networks (including retargeting).

  • Own and deliver on core performance KPIs (CPLs, CPAs, CPCs, Conversions).

  • Collaborate with external media agencies and internal stakeholders (Product, Marketing, Finance, Marketplace) for campaign planning, execution, and optimisation

  • Manage budget forecasting across all channels and product types.

  • Build and maintain reporting dashboards using GA4, Looker Studio, and other analytics/attribution tools.

  • Manage conversion tracking and tag implementation (Meta Pixel, GTM, Google Ads) for accurate attribution.

  • Drive asset optimisation through briefing, feedback, and testing with creative teams.

  • Monitor market trends and emerging tools to test new platforms and strategies for performance upside.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring:

  • 3 to 5+ years of hands-on experience in performance marketing, with a proven track record managing paid acquisition campaigns across key paid plaforms such as Meta and Google.

  • Mastery of digital marketing and analytics toolkits, including GA4, Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager, Microsoft Bing, Looker Studio, Google Tag Manager, and Microsoft Excel.

  • Deep understanding and application of performance marketing methodologies, including multivariate testing, full-funnel targeting, incremental lift studies, and campaign lifecycle management.

  • Well-rounded knowledge across performance media channels: search (SEM), paid social, programmatic, app store advertising, and affiliate ecosystems.

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, hit performance targets, and execute flawlessly at scale.
