The Physical Security Data Engineer at Google will design and build data processing systems prioritizing security, compliance, scalability, and efficiency. Responsibilities include creating data visualizations using BI tools, developing and maintaining data models and pipelines, and providing ongoing support to data users. This role requires strong programming skills (3+ years experience), proficiency with data infrastructure and modeling, and experience with data pipeline design. Experience with statistical methodology, business intelligence tools, and stakeholder management is preferred. The engineer will also contribute to Machine Learning workflows where appropriate.
Must have:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience coding in one or more programming languages.
  • 3 years of experience working with data infrastructure and data models by performing exploratory queries and scripts.
  • 3 years of experience designing data pipelines, and dimensional data modeling for synch and asynch system integration and implementation using internal (e.g., Flume, etc.) and external stacks (DataFlow, Spark, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience with statistical methodology and data consumption tools such as business intelligence tools, collabs, jupyter notebooks, Tableau, Power BI, DataStudio, and business intelligence platforms.
  • 3 years of experience partnering with stakeholders (e.g., users, partners, customer), and managing stakeholders/customers.
  • 3 years of experience developing project plans and delivering projects on time within budget and scope.
  • Experience with Machine Learning for production workflows.

About the job

As a Technical Solutions Consultant, you will be responsible for the technical relationship of our largest advertising clients and/or product partners. You will lead cross-functional teams in Engineering, Sales and Product Management to leverage emerging technologies for our external clients/partners. From concept design and testing to data analysis and support, you will oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's online advertising platforms and/or product partnerships.

You will be able to balance business and partner needs with technical constraints, develop innovative, cutting edge solutions and act as a partner and consultant to those you are working with. You will also be able to build tools and automate products, oversee the technical execution and business operations of Google's partnerships, as well as develop product strategy and prioritize projects and resources.

Our Technical Solutions Engineers help manage customer relationships, in addition to providing level-two support to our other Support teams. In this role, you will be a part of a global team that provides support to help customers seamlessly make the switch to Google Cloud. You will troubleshoot any technical challenges for customers with a mix of debugging, networking, system administration, documentation updating, and coding/scripting. You will make our products continuously easier to adopt and to use by making improvements to the product, tools, processes, and documentation.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $118,000-$174,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Design and build data processing systems with a particular emphasis on security, compliance, scalability, efficiency, reliability, and portability.
  • Create or consult in creating data visualizations using Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Datastudio, Tableau, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain data models, pipelines, and exchange formats to assist in the visualization, analysis, and interpretation of data and for use of data in ML training/models.
  • Provide ongoing support for data users through maintenance of reports, queries, and dashboards, fielding user questions, authoring documentation, and delivering training.
