Basic Skills:
- Modeling and Simulation experience in one of the following areas of CAE (Computer Aided Engineering): Computational Fluid Dynamics, Heat transfer, Chemical reactions, Finite element analysis or structural analysis, Plasma physics, Computational Chemistry, Electromagnetics, Magnetostatics, Chemistry
- Candidates from Engineering or Physics background.
Responsibilities
- Develop Simulation models to analyze the problems related to one or more of the following: flow, heat transfer, chemical reactions, FEA, plasma physics, computational chemistry, electromagnetics, magnetostatics
- Interpret analysis results with respect to results obtained by lab testing procedures, converting these results into practical design suggestions
- Works on difficult CAE problems to assist product development
- Works on identifying product design and development problems where CAE analysis can accelerate development
- Proactively validates/correlates results with real world data and makes model improvements as deemed necessary
- Generates high-level engineering test reports and presents CAE results/conclusions to the design/process engineering community
- Very good understanding of business unit processes and hardware; good knowledge of data analysis techniques to summarize CAE data
- Ability to interact effectively with a broad range of colleagues such as hardware engineers, process engineers, program managers, and computational scientists
- Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services. Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions. Works independently, receives minimal guidance.
Job Specific Knowledge
- Must have in-depth knowledge of one or more of flow, heat transfer, chemical reactions, FEA, plasma physics, computational chemistry, electromagnetics, magnetostatics
- Expert user of commercially available CAE and analysis tools
- Excellent communication skills, Knowledge in writing reports.
- A technical mindset with great attention to detail
- Experience with programming (Matlab, Python, C/C++… )
- Experience with machine learning, statistics and design of experiments is a plus
- Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes (especially CVD and ALD processes) and work experience in semiconductor industry is plus
Qualifications
- MS/M.Tech/PhD in one of the following disciplines: Mechanical / Chemical / Aeronautical / Physics / Chemistry / Material Science / Applied Mechanics / Electrical / Chemistry or related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education and related experience

- Demonstrates conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines
