Job Description

The Planner role involves working within the planning department to create effective schedules for team execution on all jobs, utilizing information from clients and department managers. Responsibilities include crafting efficient schedules, tracking employee hours and creating efficiency reports, collaborating with different departments, assisting in maintenance planning and scheduling process improvements, maintaining performance metrics, providing input for management, developing daily schedules to ensure adequate resources, and closing work orders. The role requires a commitment to United Living's values of doing the right thing, raising the bar, maintaining a positive attitude, excellent communication, integrity, and the ability to make things happen. Experience in customer service and IT literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office and Excel, is expected. The ideal candidate will be a team player, comfortable working alone, and possess tact and discretion in a public-facing role, with potential flexibility in working hours.

Job Description

To operate effectively in a delivery focused and often fast-paced environment, working within the planning

department to create an effective schedule for execution by the teams on all jobs, using information gained from the client and the department managers.

Craft an efficient schedule for the execution by the teams on all jobs

· Access employee hours spent on projects and create reports on efficiency

· Work with staff from different departments to collaborate and main coordination

· Assisting in implementing maintenance planning and scheduling processes and developing process

improvements

· Keep accurate metrics on the performance of planning and scheduling functions and provide timely

· Provide input to management and suggest improvements for efficiency

· Develop a daily schedule to secure adequate resources to complete all jobs

· Ensure all works orders and maintenance log items are closed when work is finished

· Ability to maintain professionalism at all times under stressful situations

· Demonstrated customer focus with an ability to resolve complex issues with an eye for detail

· Ability to understand the importance of priority of work tasks and the willingness to perform all

assigned tasks within their ability

· Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to create sketches

· Attention to detail

· Confidence in using computer packages and familiarity with planning tools

· The ability to work under pressure to deadlines I.T literate particularly Microsoft Office and

Excel.

· Well-developed verbal and written communication skills

· Team player, but also comfortable working alone.

· Understands the need for respect, sensitivity and discretion in a public facing role.

· Some flexibility of working hours may be required.
