MuleSoft is looking for a motivated Platform Solution Engineer to join our extremely talented and collaborative Pre-Sales Solution Engineering team, who are instrumental to MuleSoft’s growth in the region.
As a Platform Solution Engineer, you will act as a technical expert to MuleSoft’s (prospective) customers by proving how MuleSoft’s Anypoint Platform can bring their digital investments together into an application network, allowing for faster change and innovation. You will partner closely with Client Solution Engineers and Account Executives throughout the end-to-end sales cycle to qualify sales opportunities with regards to customer technical requirements, competition, decision-making process and funding. Through strong, developed relationships with the client’s IT staff and C-Level executives, you will leverage their deep technical expertise to align the client’s technical requirements to business outcomes.

What you will be doing

  • You will go through an intensive specifically designed onboarding program to help you develop your technical and business acumen
  • Your efforts will include understanding the unique business requirements of businesses (directly with Sales teams) and translating/presenting those needs into a compelling demonstration of MuleSoft's functional and technical capabilities.
  • You will build up your consulting skills and work on real-life customer and internal projects
  • You will learn to solve business problems and add business value
  • You will build and configure MuleSoft solutions for customers
  • You will have opportunities to learn from key executives in the organization
  • You will develop an understanding of Salesforce & MuleSoft and our position as a market-leader in the industry
  • You will participate in extensive training and mentoring. With our strong coaching culture, we aim to develop you into a world-class professional.


What you will achieve
3 months:

  • Become certified in MuleSoft’s Developer trainings
  • Complete MuleSoft’s Kickstart sales training
  • Begin to build your architecture reframe and white-boarding skills through shadowing and customer-scenario role playing


12 months:

  • Become certified in all Product, Architecture, and Sales Messaging trainings
  • Deliver product presentations and demonstrations that are tailored to the client’s technical requirements and audience
  • Develop Proofs of Concept (PoCs) as part of an account team to demonstrate the art of the possible
  • Put all the pieces together to “perfect your craft” by closing deals
  • Partner with Accounts Executives on account planning and strategy and support marketing with evangelism activities (writing blogs, participating in demo-driven webinars, speaking at industry events, etc.)

  • You have had exposure & some experience in software development/integration or API's - desired but not essential
  • You are fluent in Japanese (reading, writing, listening, speaking) & Business level in English (writing, reading)
  • You are ambitious, proactive, resilient and flexible
  • You have an affinity or interest in building a career in technology
  • You are a strong communicator and teammate & enjoy presenting & evangelizing our solutions
  • You have exceptional organizational and time management skills and have the ability to prioritize
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and the desire to use your own initiative
  • You are a result driven, self motivated person interested in being a part of a fast-paced tech environment
