Kforce is seeking a QA Engineer with strong Playwright automation and functional testing experience for a long-term AI initiative in Charlotte, NC. This role involves building and maintaining UI/API automation scripts using Playwright and TypeScript, collaborating with developers and functional QAs to enhance test coverage, performing functional testing, and supporting AI-first project initiatives within a fast-moving, cross-functional agile team. The engineer will also validate backend services and APIs for complex, AI-integrated platforms.

Must Have

• Build and maintain UI/API automation scripts using Playwright and TypeScript
• Collaborate with functional QAs and developers to enhance test coverage

• Participate in squad-based agile workflows across EDG teams

• 3-5 years of QA experience with strong emphasis on Playwright
• Proficient in TypeScript with functional programming knowledge
• Hands-on experience with UI and API test automation
• Comfortable testing modern, AI-driven applications
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in agile environments

Kforce has a client in Charlotte, NC that is seeking a QA Engineer with strong Playwright automation experience and a functional testing background to join a long-term AI initiative within a major Emerging Technologies group. This team was built to explore AI-from MCP server architecture to Generative AI solutions-and supports 14 agile squads. You will partner directly with developers and functional QAs, helping scale automation frameworks and drive quality across AI-driven applications.

Duties:

• Build and maintain UI/API automation scripts using Playwright and TypeScript
• Collaborate with functional QAs and devs to enhance test coverage
• Perform ~20% functional testing as needed
• Support AI-first project initiatives in a fast-moving, cross-functional team
• Validate backend services and APIs for complex, AI-integrated platforms
• Participate in squad-based agile workflows across EDG teams
• Help scale automation efforts started by developers in current squads

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of QA experience with strong emphasis on Playwright
• Proficient in TypeScript with functional programming knowledge
• Hands-on experience with UI and API test automation
• Comfortable testing modern, AI-driven applications
• Strong collaboration and communication skills in agile environments
• Exposure to Generative AI, machine learning, or similar technologies a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
