Assystem Energy & Infrastructure are recruiting for a dynamic, self-motivated Power Electronic Systems Engineer to work at our customers site in Derby on a contract basis.
The power systems teams are responsible for the end-to-end design of the power systems control from top level plant requirements, through vendor product design, and finishing off with system verification.
There are opportunities in various areas of systems design and the successful candidates will be aligned to their strengths. The power systems team provide direct supply chain support to develop and approve the design solution. Additional support is provided to the shipbuilder through build and commissioning documentation and issue resolution.

**Security clearance**
This role requires the successful candidate to hold a minimum of a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance.
Due to the nature of work this role will be delivering and for the protection of certain assets, the successful candidate has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non-ITAR country.
