Power Platform Developer

This role will report to the Technical Product Owner of the Data Capture team, as well as the Head of Development of the wider Tech business.  

• Build components and features to meet the business requirements using Power Platform and Azure 
• Develop deep technical skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with the advancement of the technologies 
• Work with the Data Capture team to enhance the process of improving the collection of key data points in the database 
• Build, maintain and support core components of our Power Platform suite using pages/navigation/formulas/connectors/flows 
• Build, maintain and support automated pipelines and templates for Power Platform components, including custom connectors/custom scripts/triggers/actions/environment variables 
• Work in Scrum with JIRA to make iterative enhancements that support the wider Product roadmap 
• Understand the business domain and ask, to ensure that each implementation is the most effective for end users and a future proofed solution 
• Assist the Tech Operations team with technical incidents 
• Maintain and manage knowledge bases for Power Platform 
• Support CI/CD pipelines in Azure for component deployment in solutions 
• Work with User Experience teams and stakeholders to build apps that support the Research process and user journeys 
• Ensure all relevant architecture governance, policy and standards are met 
• Peer review other members’ work 

• An understanding of working with RESTful APIs through HTTP connectors in Power Automate  
• Previous and demonstrable Canvas App experience, with the ability to apply this low-code understanding to our internal solutions 
• Understanding of working in an Agile management project (ideally with JIRA) to build, test and deploy iterative enhancements to the platform base 
• Keen problem solving skills (Analytical and Creative) 
• Knowledge of applying non-functional requirements 
• Knowledge of managing stakeholders and a desire to deliver solutions 
• Relevant Microsoft qualifications in Power Platform and/or Azure 
• An understanding, or willingness to learn, simple integrations in Python, C#.NET and/or PHP, with the support of SMEs across the Tech team 
• Technical knowledge and breadth of Azure technology services 
• An understanding of the Asset Management industry 
• An understanding of implementing custom Javascript would be an added bonus
