The Presales Consultant role involves combining technical expertise with an understanding of customer needs to address them through Appier’s AI products. This role works closely with Enterprise Solution Sales to close deals, owning the sales support process, solution architecture, proof of concept, value selling, and solution deployment plans. Internally, this role collaborates with Sales, Engineering, Product Development, and Customer Success teams to represent customer needs, resolve problems, and ensure detailed documentation. The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of Appier's products, competitive differentiators, and a solid understanding of the Martech/Adtech space.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of client-facing presales experience.
  • Ability to communicate technical and business concepts effectively.
  • Consultative skills for identifying needs and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding of digital marketing ecosystem.
  • Solid knowledge in data analytics, like SQL.

About the role

The Presales Consultant combines deep technical subject matter expertise with a keen understanding of how to address the critical business needs of enterprise customers through Appier’s AI products.

Externally, this role works closely with Enterprise Solution Sales to close sophisticated enterprise deals. This role will own the sales support process including solution architecture, proof of concept, value selling (solution presentation, customized solution demonstration, customer workshop, proposals development), and solution deployment plans.

Internally, this role works closely with the Sales, Engineering, Product Development, and Customer Success teams. The role will accurately represent the needs of enterprise customers, mobilize resources quickly to resolve problems and ensure detailed documentation of product roadmap feature enhancements. This role also actively engages and collaborates with the Appier product team to provide field product feedback, mobilize the right resource to quickly address critical customer requirements.

A successful candidate requires in-depth knowledge of Appier's products, our product’s competitive differentiators, and a solid understanding of the Martech/Adtech space. Optimally, this person should have in-depth knowledge of the enterprise selling process in order to effectively deliver consultative delivery solutions and operational support. You must possess excellent written and communications skills to explain difficult concepts to both C-level decision-makers and to manage the expectations of clients.

 

 

Responsibilities of the role

  • 60% of presales activities include customer demos, presentations, and implementation planning. 20% on technical support and product feature evaluation. 20% working with internal teams.
  • Develop innovative and unique solutions for customers through the use of Appier solutions
  • Become an expert with our product suite in order to deliver standard and customized presentations of Appier SaaS enterprise AI solutions and Demos to business management.
  • Effectively set expectations with customers in order to deliver project success.
  • Partner with sales and work on presentation materials for opportunity progression.
  • Work on complex deals and provide a response to RFPs related to product, integration, delivery, training, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support sales and marketing events, conferences, and exhibitions.
  • Support channel activities such as partner enablement and partner events.
  • Develop standard solution processes and product support assets such as white papers, presentations, and walkthrough guides.
  • Work effectively as part of a global team with multifaceted responsibilities.

 

About you

 

[Essential]

  • Min. 5 years of enterprise software client-facing presales experience; ideally SaaS-based offerings in Analytics, DMP, or Marketing systems
  • Ability to communicate technical and business concepts effectively to customer’s mid/senior management as well as C-level executives
  • Consultative skill to identify pains and requirements and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Understanding of digital marketing ecosystem
  • Solid knowledge in data analytics (e.g. Business Analytics, data warehouse, SQL … etc.)
  • A proven track record of driving and closing enterprise deals.

  • Professional knowledge of terminology, trends, and concepts of Marketing, Data, and AI products.
  • Sound knowledge of CDP
