Job Description

This Principal Analytical Lead role within Google's Large Customer Sales team focuses on the automotive sector. Responsibilities include providing strategic consulting to clients, developing analytical models, collaborating with sales teams to drive growth, and managing client relationships. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in media analytics, advertising sales, and digital marketing, along with expertise in online advertising platforms, website analytics, and brand analysis techniques. Strong communication and presentation skills are crucial for conveying insights to senior leadership. The role demands the ability to lead and mentor junior staff and contribute to the development of go-to-market strategies. Success in this position requires a deep understanding of the automotive industry and the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 11 years of experience in media analytics, advertising sales, digital media and marketing, consulting, or financial analysis.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience working closely with senior clients, advising on marketing/business performance in the Automotive space, and influencing decisions leveraging insights and measurement.
  • Experience with online advertising (Search, Display, Video/TV), website analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), brand analysis techniques, marketing experiments, return on investment/financial modeling, and statistical analyses.
  • Familiarity with brand and performance marketing and measurement solutions (e.g., MMM, Experiments, MTA, incrementality, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior staff.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with comfort delivering simple and compelling stories to senior and executive leadership.
  • Expertise in video/brand advertising.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $138,000-$205,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Provide support and consulting on client's/partner’s strategy in the areas of sales, marketing and/or product development, and translate data into answers to business questions and/or insights to facilitate business decision-making.
  • Develop and own analytical modeling for key client/partner projects, apply and/or customize analytical tools (e.g., dashboards) and frameworks to identify opportunities, and develop solutions to optimize client/partner business and maximize the use and effectiveness of Google products.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to drive business growth with clients/partners, conduct in-depth analysis and identify business opportunities, and support the development of go-to-market business pitch and marketing collateral.
  • Build and manage relationships with client/partner stakeholders across functions and levels, and own the relationship with the data/analytical stakeholders on the client’s/partner’s side.
