Job Description

As a Principal Architect, you'll lead cross-functional teams in designing, planning, implementing, and governing enterprise cloud strategies for Google Cloud's banking and financial services clients. You'll guide sales teams, articulate the value of technical solutions, and collaborate with Value Engineering. Responsibilities involve building trusted relationships with strategic accounts, engaging with senior technical and executive leaders, providing domain expertise in public cloud and enterprise technology, and offering integration strategies and best practices. You will manage enterprise architecture relationships, working with specialists and technical teams. Travel to customer sites and conferences will be required.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in CS or related field
10+ years enterprise architecture or customer-facing experience
Cloud computing experience across applications, infrastructure, and data
Experience presenting to technical and executive stakeholders
Lead cross-functional teams and guide sales teams

Good to have:

Experience with structured enterprise architecture practices
Hybrid cloud deployments and on-premise-to-cloud migrations
Enterprise technology buying and evaluation process
Experience with large-scale computing solutions and distributed global cloud systems
Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance industry experience

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience as an enterprise architect or in a customer-facing role.
Experience with cloud market and cloud computing across applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, or data.
Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with structured enterprise architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premise-to-cloud migration deployments and road maps.
Experience in enterprise technology buying and evaluation process along with an understanding of large scale computing solutions and experience in building, architecting, designing and implementing distributed global cloud-based systems.
Experience in, or supporting the Banking, Financial Services and Insurance industries.
Ability to work cross-functionally to position and orchestrate a solution consisting of multiple products.
Ability to influence the audience and identify growth engagements within accounts.

As a Principal Architect, you will lead cross-functional teams to help customers design, plan, implement, and govern enterprise cloud strategies. In this role, you will lead conversation, and direct the execution of the Sales team by combining both technical direction and business insight. You will partner with Value Engineering to articulate the value of each technical solution and the overall business partnership with Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

Build a trusted advisory relationship with strategic accounts and engage with Architects, Vice President of Engineering, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Information Officer, and identify customer priorities, technical objections and design strategies encompassing the entire Google ecosystem to deliver business value and resolve issues.
Provide domain expertise around public cloud and enterprise technology, and promote Google Cloud with customers, at conferences, and online.
Make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to implement solution while providing best practices to customers to enhance Google Cloud.
Manage the holistic enterprise architecture relationship with customers by collaborating with specialists, product management, technical teams, and more.
Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed.
