Job Description

As a Principal Architect, Banking, Google Cloud, you'll lead cross-functional teams to design, plan, implement, and govern enterprise cloud strategies for banking clients. You'll build trusted relationships with strategic accounts, engaging with architects, VPs, and C-level executives. You'll provide domain expertise in public cloud and enterprise technology, promoting Google Cloud to customers and at industry events. Responsibilities include making recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, and application infrastructure, ensuring optimal Google Cloud effectiveness. You'll manage the holistic enterprise architecture relationship, collaborating with specialists and technical teams. Travel to customer sites and conferences is required. This role demands executive-level qualities, facilitating conversations and directing sales team execution, combining technical goals with business insight, and partnering with Value Engineering to articulate the total value of solutions and the overall business partnership.

Must have:

Bachelor's degree in CS or related field
10+ years enterprise architecture experience
Banking/financial services experience
Lead cross-functional teams
Build trusted customer relationships
Provide domain expertise
Manage enterprise architecture relationships

Good to have:

Experience with structured enterprise architecture practices
Hybrid cloud deployments and migration experience
Building highly distributed global cloud systems
Enterprise technology buying and evaluation
Knowledge of emerging technologies
Ability to drive and influence audiences

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
10 years of experience as an enterprise architect in a cloud computing environment or a customer-facing role.
Experience in, or supporting, the banking/financial services industry.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience with structured enterprise architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premise-to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps.
Experience in building, architecting, designing, and implementing highly distributed global cloud-based systems.
Experience in enterprise technology buying and evaluation process paired with an understanding of large scale computing solutions.
Knowledge of technology solutions and ability to learn and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.
Ability to deliver results and work cross-functionally to position and orchestrate a solution consisting of multiple products.
Ability to drive and influence audiences and identify expansion engagements within accounts.

As a Principal Architect, you will lead cross-functional teams of experts to help customers design, plan, implement, and govern enterprise cloud strategies.

In this role, you will embody executive-level qualities, facilitate the conversation, and direct the execution of the Sales team by combining both technical goal and business insight. You will partner heavily with Value Engineering to articulate the true total value of each technical solution and the overall business partnership with Google Cloud.

Responsibilities

Build a trusted advisory relationship with strategic accounts and engage with Architects, VP Engineering, C-level, and identify customer priorities, technical objections and design strategies encompassing the entire Google ecosystem to deliver business value and resolve blockers.
Provide domain expertise around public cloud and enterprise technology, and effectively promote Google Cloud with customers, at conferences, and online.
Make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution while providing best practices to customers to optimize Google Cloud effectiveness.
Manage the holistic enterprise architecture relationship with customers by collaborating with specialists, product management, technical teams, and more.
Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as required.
