Job Description

The Principal Engineer will be responsible for project management to characterize processes, lead discussions on new technology introduction, manage failure analysis and characterization experiments, and provide recommendations based on data analysis. They will also analyze electrical performance data, qualify component data, and conduct process data and failure analysis. The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.

Must have:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field.
5-7 years of experience as a Process Engineer.

Good to have:

Process Development background, Project management.
Data analytics by Jmp.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Power BI.

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project management is needed to characterize processes to produce products.
Lead the discussion and decision on new technology introduction with the HDD team.
Responsible for managing and driving failure analysis and characterization experiments, and providing recommendations based on data analysis results.
Electrical performance data analysis.
Component data qualification.
Process Data and Failure Analysis

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher in Electronics, Engineering or Physical Sciences, Physics, or related field.
At least 5-7 years of experience as a Process Engineer in the Electronics Industry.
Having experience in Slider Fab Process or Hard Drive Technology would be an advantage.

PREFERRED:

Process Development background, Project management
Data analytics by Jmp
SQL, Python, or Power IB will be an advantage

SKILLS:

Able to work independently and stand-alone, strong leadership, and good team player
Passion and innovative
Demonstrate a high-to-fluent level of English proficiency (spoken/reading/written).
Proficient in high-level communication and presentation
Problem-solving and negotiation skills.
