Description
Lighthouse Games is a dynamic and innovative game development studio, dedicated to creating AAA gaming experiences. As a Principal Game Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the vision and direction of our upcoming projects.
Working closely with our talented design team, you will lead the creation of engaging and immersive gameplay experiences. Your expertise in game design and your passion for pushing boundaries will elevate our games to new heights. You will drive the development of innovative game mechanics, systems, and features, ensuring they align with the overall design goals and deliver an exceptional player experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of game designers, providing guidance, support, and feedback
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including art, engineering, and production to ensure the successful implementation of game features
- Create comprehensive design documentation, including game mechanics, systems, and level designs
- Iterate and refine game mechanics and systems based on playtest feedback and player analytics
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve and innovate the design process
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a game designer, preferably in a senior or principal role
- Proven track record of designing and shipping successful AAA games
- Strong knowledge of game design principles and methodologies
- Exceptional creativity and ability to generate innovative ideas
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to lead and inspire a team of designers
- Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of player motivations
