We’re seeking a seasoned Principal Group Engineering Manager  based in Noida to lead our flagship PowerPoint product team in the innovative Copilot domain. In this role, you’ll drive a dynamic team of engineering managers and individual contributors, bringing AI-powered solutions to life in PowerPoint. The ideal candidate has deep Web expertise from high-scale backend services to beautifully crafted end-user experiences. You will be working with the latest AI models and the rapidly evolving stack and experiences built on top of the models, leading the way into the next generation of software.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science OR related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including,, C#, C++, .NET, TypeScript, or similar programming languages or platforms.
  • Experience building and shipping production grade products, timely and with high quality.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and ability to work cross- team in collaborative environment. 

Other Requirements

 

Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements that are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Generative AI is preferred but not required .
  • 6+ years people management experience.

 

Responsibilities

  • Lead an engineering team, own product areas as well as define the technical and product roadmap.  
  • Build reliable and scalable systems, establishing rigorous engineering processes to ensure service quality and agility of delivery of new capabilities. 
  • Hire, retain and grow engineering talent. 
  • Partner with Product Management, Design and Data Science to drive execution excellence across disciplines and deliver customer focused experiences with great business impact.   
  • Be responsible for creating and fostering a healthy, collaborative, inclusive & supportive team culture. 
  • Encourage innovation across all stages of product lifecycle.
