About the Role

As the Principal Product Intelligence Manager, you will report to the Head of Early Market Validation and play a crucial role in delivering actionable insights that will enable our products to be competitive in this market and get ahead of it. This position is vital for supporting the development process and aiding in assessing games' commercial viability and their strategic positioning for a successful launch.

You will lead the charge in levelling up our understanding of market trends, competitor products, features, systems, and live-ops. This includes innovations that happen in the market, regardless of whether they cover direct competitor games.

What You'll Achieve

  • Lead comprehensive product and competitor research to identify emerging trends, player preferences, and innovative opportunities in the mobile gaming space.
  • Analyze competitor games and strategies to uncover their main gameplay and systems differentiators.
  • Gather and interpret competitive data to provide actionable insights for product teams.
  • Develop and maintain a competitive intelligence database, tracking key metrics and updates from industry players as well as live ops activities.
  • Work closely with Market Intelligence and tie market intelligence data back into product analysis and vice versa.
  • Closely collaboration with product Directors, publishing and research to collect insights and share them with the product teams for feature development and planning.
  • Produce regular reports and presentations on market trends, competitive analysis, and strategic recommendations.
  • Communicate findings and insights effectively to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Identify and evaluate new game concepts and innovative mechanics that align with company goals.
  • Provide recommendations for new game development based on market gaps and player demand.

What You'll Need to be Successful

  • Extensive experience in market research, competitive intelligence, product analysis, or a related role within the mobile gaming industry.
  • Proven track record of supporting product development with data-driven insights.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent research and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
  • Strong understanding of the mobile gaming market and industry trends.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Preferred not required: a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Data Science, Game Design.
