Job Description

As a Principal QA Engineer at Vimeo, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of their video platform, which impacts millions of users. You will lead test strategies, implement and execute comprehensive testing, including automated and exploratory testing. Collaboration with fellow testers and developers is expected to maintain automated API and browser-based checks. You will provide expert guidance and leadership on all testing and quality-related activities, and proactively identify and address quality risks to promote excellence.

Must have:

Proven expertise in software testing
Experience in developing and maintaining automated API and browser-based checks
Proficiency in programming/scripting
Demonstrated ability to lead complex testing projects
Extensive experience in web application and API testing
Excellent communication skills in both Hebrew and English (written and verbal).

Good to have:

Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) tools
Proficiency in JavaScript and/or Python
Hands-on experience with webdriver.io or Playwright
Experience with mobile testing
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins/CircleCI)
Active engagement with the software testing community

Your Impact:

Lead the charge in ensuring exceptional product quality: Design, implement, and execute comprehensive test strategies, including both automated and exploratory testing, for our core product components.
Elevate our automation capabilities: Collaborate with fellow testers and developers to expand and maintain our suite of robust automated API and browser-based checks.
Become a trusted quality advocate: Provide expert guidance and leadership on all testing and quality-related activities, influencing the entire development lifecycle.
Drive continuous improvement: Proactively identify and address potential quality risks, contributing to a culture of excellence

What You'll Bring:

Proven expertise in software testing, with a strong track record of planning, executing, and reporting on testing activities.
Deep experience in developing and maintaining automated API and browser-based checks.
Proficiency in programming/scripting to set up test data and analyze logs.
Demonstrated ability to lead complex testing projects.
Extensive experience in web application and API testing.
Excellent communication skills in both Hebrew and English (written and verbal).
Bonus points for:

Experience with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
Proficiency in JavaScript and/or Python.
Hands-on experience with webdriver.io or Playwright.
Experience with mobile testing.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins/CircleCI).
Active engagement with the software testing community and awareness of industry trends.
