HP’s Consumer Solutions and Services organization is building the next generation of digital touchpoints for HP’s customers. We are looking for a Windows software architect who can guide multiple software engineering teams in the development of Windows applications built on technologies including UWP, WinUI, and WinAppSDK. You will be responsible for leading the architecture and development of our Windows application that allows for easy integration of partner solutions while ensuring high performance, reliability, and security. You will also collaborate with other architects and business stakeholders from across HP to understand their requirements and provide integration guidelines to deliver quality software solutions.
Skills and Responsibilities
Architect Windows applications using UWP, WinUI, and WinAppSDK
Expertise in using Micro Front End (MFE) technologies in Windows applications
Familiarity with Windows drivers and hardware interactions
Optimize application performance, memory usage, and resource management
Ensure compliance with Windows design guidelines and best practices
Guide debug and troubleshoot issues across different Windows platforms and devices
Provide technical consulting for partner Product and Design organizations
Mentor development leads
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
At least 10 years of experience in Windows application development.
Strong knowledge of using UWP, WinUI, and WinAppSDK
Experience in using MFE technologies within Windows applications, including JavaScript, React, and WebView2
Understanding of Windows software distribution channels including MS Store, MSIX installers, and Windows Update
Experience in migration from UWP to WinAppSDK is highly preferred
Experience in building and distributing modular applications
Experience in using Jira, Git, and Visual Studio
Experience in guiding development team
Knowledge of the various Windows-based development tools

Per the Washington statute, the estimated range of compensation for this job in that location, at the time of this posting, is $180,000 - $220,00. This position may be eligible for incentive pay, for openings where this is applicable.
