About the role
EHS advisor for the appointed area/s and subject matter expert (SME) for the disciplines assigned. As EHS advisor you provide Occupational Safety and Construction Safety expertise to support Haleon Nyon EHS management system implementation, country EHS strategy deployment, risk mitigation programmes and develop EHS culture and capabilities under compliance of EHS Haleon standards and Swiss EHS regulations.
You support and deploy key EHS programs related to:
• Workplace risk assessment, risk mitigation and continuous improvement
• Incident investigation
• Audits
• Communication and training
• Operational controls
• Performance monitoring
You will lead and deploy key EHS programs related to:
• Process Safety
• Emergency Response & Loss Prevention
• Other disciplines assigned through the Duty Holder framework
Scope: Nyon Campus
Key responsibilities
Occupational Safety:
o Lead and support occupational safety assessments in the area/s assigned
o Design and lead occupational safety improvement plan for short/medium term, with focus in top risks
o Execute risk assessments proposing effective risk mitigation plans when necessary and supporting its implementation
o Perform effectiveness checks and occupational safety internal audits and visits to the areas. Participate in global/external audits.
o Manage and escalate EHS issues accordingly to the risk, impact and support required.
o Develop and execute training plans and provide training in occupational safety o Develop capabilities in occupational safety for other EHS advisors and leaders.
o Develop robust processes to integrate occupational safety requirements and controls in the current processes.
o Prioritise risks and interventions according to the current and future strategy.
o Assure learnings from accidents/incidents are identified and implemented
o Provide advice and information to employees on EHS issues though communications
o Participating in assigned projects as EHS representative (area or SME)
o Perform the activities assuring compliance with EHS Haleon stds, regulatory requirements and aligned with strategy
Integration in the EHS team and areas assigned to deliver EHS performance and strategy, supporting them as needed.
Process Safety (PS):
o Define and deploy of effective governance system for PS assuring compliance with EHS Haleon stds, regulatory requirements (OPAM site) and aligned with strategy
o Design and lead PS improvement plan for short and medium term
o Define and maintain KPIs related with PS
o Implement PS risk assessments (HAC, PHIRA, Asphyxia, Flammables/Ignitable liquids, powder handling and electrostatic discharges, etc) adequate for the needs and supporting/leading/monitoring risk mitigation plans implementation
o Partnership with EHS advisors, EFM and managers to assure effectiveness of the risk assessment and controls for PS.
o Assure audit process is in place to monitor effectiveness of PS programmes/controls
o Develop capabilities in PS for EHS advisors, workers and leaders
o Develop and deliver training plans PS for Haleon workers and contractors
o Advice on PS risk mitigation in new designs / changes
o Assure PS risks are correctly managed
o Develop/update the required SOPs/documentation required for proper PS management
Emergency Response & Loss Prevention:
o Coordinate all the activities related with Loss Prevention/Fire as per EHS Haleon stds, regulatory requirements and FM global, aligned with strategy
o Assure audit process is in place to monitor effectiveness of loss prevention controls
o Advice on loss prevention/fire risk mitigation in new designs / changes
o Emergency plans owner
o Coordination of internal Fire Brigade team, assuring resources/equipments are available and trained to response to the emergency scenarios from the campus
o Coordinate the communications with ECA
o Emergency response process support in developing plans, assuring resources available and staff trained.

o Change Controls EHS representative
o Internal fire brigade coordinator
o SME for appointed risk
o Back up for: other members of EHS team when needed
